From October 28th to November 4th, 2024, a special event will be held in Korea to showcase the beauty and diversity of mandolin music from around the world. Not only will the event feature the Bundang Mandolin Orchestra from Korea, but also outstanding mandolin players from Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Japan, and Taiwan will come together to present a fantastic world of music through the exchange of art and culture.

The mandolin concerts are scheduled for November 1st at the Eunpyeong Cultural Arts Center in Seoul and November 2nd at the Seongnam Arts Center. The conference is set to take place on October 30th, where international mandolin players will gather to discuss the association's vision and goals, creating valuable time to share their passion for music.

Following this, a journey to Gongju, with its thousand years of history, is planned from November 4th to 8th.

You are invited to the opening concert of the International Mandolin Association and the inaugural assembly of the Mandolin-String Instrument Association. We hope you will join us in this special moment to share the beauty of music and culture, anticipating new friendships and collaborations. We look forward to your participation in the journey to make the world more beautiful with the sound of the mandolin!

Concerts for individual orchestras of the Mandolin Extravaganza Concerts and joint performances will be held. On October 31, performances by group participant orchestras will take place. Orchestras with 15 or more members should send their group name, conductor's name, performance program (Playing time 30 minutes), and list of participants to [here].

 

On November 2nd, there will be a joint performance with the Bundang Mandolin Orchestra. We will share performance programs and sheet music with all participants by July 30, 2024.
